How can I check the performance in my accounts?
Log into your Together Planning client portal (Black Diamond) on your browser or mobile app. Navigate to the “Portfolio” dropdown menu and choose “Performance”. You can change the time period by clicking the calendar icon at the top right of the page. This will allow you to see the performance of your overall portfolio, each account, each asset class, and each holding during the period.
How can I see how the value of my accounts has changed today?
Log in to Schwab Alliance from your browser or app. This is the only way to see intra-day value changes, as the Together Planning client portal shows the values as of the previous market close.
How can I share a new document with my advisor?
Log into your Together Planning client portal (Black Diamond) on your browser or mobile app. Navigate to the “Vault” dropdown menu and choose “Documents.” The first time you access the vault you will be required to accept the terms and conditions. Click the folder with your name. After that, choose the “Client Documents” folder and click the “New” button in the upper right corner and choose “Upload file.” Detailed instructions with screenshots can also be viewed here. Your advisor will be notified when you upload a document, but you may also want to send an email to let them know what to look for.
How can I access files that my advisor has shared with me?
Log into your Together Planning client portal (Black Diamond) on your browser or mobile app. Navigate to the “Vault” dropdown menu and choose “Documents.” The first time you access the vault you will be required to accept the terms and conditions. Click the folder with your name. After that, choose the “Financial Planning” folder to view financial plan reviews, tax planning reports, and other items from your review meetings. Choose the “Investment Management” folder to view your investment policy statement and other information regarding your investment accounts.
How can I access my monthly Schwab account statements?
You have two ways to view and download your monthly Schwab accounts statements for your accounts. You can get them directly from Schwab Alliance or from your Together Planning client portal (Black Diamond).In the Together Planning client portal (Black Diamond), navigate to the Vault on the top menu and choose “Statements”. On the left side of the screen, choose “Statements.” On the Schwab Alliance site, choose “Accounts” at the top of the page and then “Statements and Tax Forms” from the menu bar right below.
How can I access my year-end tax forms?
You have two ways to view and download your year-end tax forms for your accounts. You can get them directly from Schwab Alliance or from your Together Planning client portal (Black Diamond).In the Together Planning client portal (Black Diamond), navigate to the Vault on the top menu and choose “Statements”. On the left side of the screen, choose “Tax Forms.”
On the Schwab Alliance site, choose “Accounts” at the top of the page and then “Statements and Tax Forms” from the menu bar right below.
How can I link my other accounts to my financial plan so that my advisor can see my current balances?
Log into the Financial Planning Portal (MoneyGuidePro) and choose “Linked Accounts” from the top menu and then “Accounts.” Enter the name of the financial institution in the search bar or select one of the more popular institutions named. Enter your login credentials. Depending on the institution, you may need to also enter your security questions or provide additional information. Repeat for all your financial accounts. You can link bank accounts, student loans, mortgages, credit cards, HSA accounts, your employer retirement plan, insurance policies, and anything else that you access online. How can I change my delivery preferences for Schwab?
If you would like to opt into or out of electronic delivery at Schwab, log into Schwab Alliance. Choose “Profile” on the top right corner, and then “Paperless” from the drop down menu. Choose the accounts for which you would like to change the delivery preferences. You can also edit the email address for statement delivery here.
